Chrysanthemum - Orginal painting

In Chinese culture, the chrysanthemum ( júhuā) holds deep symbolic significance as one of the "Four Gentlemen" ( sì jūnzi) alongside plum blossoms, orchids, and bamboo. It represents noble virtues such as longevity, resilience, and moral integrity. Admired for its ability to bloom late into autumn, the chrysanthemum symbolizes endurance and the triumph over adversity. It is prominently featured in art, literature, and festivals like the Double Ninth Festival ( Chóngyáng Jié), where it serves as a symbol of good fortune and protection.
